Mange med spiseproblematikker falder tilbage i de samme m\u00f8nstre, selv efter l\u00e6ngerevarende behandling i sundhedssystemet. Dette skyldes blandt andet, at behandlingssystemet endnu ikke har fundet effektive metoder til at hj\u00e6lpe med at bryde de usunde copingstrategier. Ofte mangler der en vilje til at t\u00e6nke uden for boksen og inddrage psykoterapeutiske tilgange, der fokuserer p\u00e5 traumer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I psykiatrien er der typisk en st\u00e6rk fokusering p\u00e5 mad, sundhed og basal overlevelse. Dette overser dog, at mange af disse mennesker k\u00e6mper med komplekse problematikker og dybe traumer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Som psykoterapeut og traumeterapeut ved man, at spiseforstyrrelser ofte er en del af overlevelsesmekanismerne hos mennesker, der har oplevet traumer. Det er derfor essentielt at m\u00f8de mennesker med spiseproblematikker som personer, der b\u00e6rer p\u00e5 traumer. Mange af dem har en umoden opfattelse af sig selv og et stort behov for validering fra andre for at f\u00f8le, at de har v\u00e6rdi. Dette skyldes, at de ofte er fastl\u00e5st i et indre barn, der aldrig har l\u00e6rt at regulere sv\u00e6re f\u00f8lelser. De fungerer prim\u00e6rt gennem ydre tilbagemeldinger som en overlevelsesstrategi. Deres selvv\u00e6rd er s\u00e5 lavt, at ros og opm\u00e6rksomhed udefra er n\u00f8dvendigt for at opretholde f\u00f8lelsen af at v\u00e6re v\u00e6rdifuld.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Det handler ikke om at v\u00e6re tynd eller tyk, men snarere om at passe ind og undg\u00e5 at falde ved siden af. At blive marginaliseret kan udl\u00f8se en s\u00e5 voldsom skam, at det f\u00f8les som en trussel mod selve livet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">N\u00e5r disse mennesker behandles i sundhedssystemet, adskilles de forskellige typer spiseforstyrrelser ofte, og behandlingen fokuserer p\u00e5 konkrete adf\u00e6rdsm\u00f8nstre som at spise, undlade at kaste op eller undg\u00e5 overspisning. Dette er imidlertid ikke den rette tilgang, da spiseforstyrrelser i bund og grund er en overlevelsesmekanisme, en f\u00f8lelsesm\u00e6ssig umodenhed og et udtryk for fastl\u00e5sthed i det s\u00e5rede indre barn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Som psykoterapeut har jeg m\u00f8dt mange klienter med spiseproblematikker, n\u00e5r de s\u00f8ger hj\u00e6lp til at arbejde med traumer. Det interessante er, at mange af disse tilf\u00e6lde ikke bliver registreret i statistikkerne som spiseforstyrrelser. Min erfaring viser, at n\u00e5r klienten gennem terapi begynder at bearbejde sine traumer, kommer spiseproblematikkerne frem i lyset. Samtidig med traumearbejdet bliver de bedre forst\u00e5et \u2013 og i sidste ende l\u00f8st.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Psykoterapi arbejder holistisk og ser mennesket som en helhed \u2013 ligesom kroppen, hvor en lunge ikke kan fungere uden et pumpende hjerte, eller leveren uden samarbejde med nyrerne. Traumer fungerer p\u00e5 samme m\u00e5de: De danner et komplekst net af sammenh\u00e6nge og sn\u00f8rklede stier, som klienten m\u00e5 begive sig ud p\u00e5 for at finde mening og heling. Dette kr\u00e6ver en dygtig psykoterapeut som guide og st\u00f8tte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Spiseforstyrrelser kan ikke behandles isoleret. Mennesker har brug for at modne f\u00f8lelsesm\u00e6ssigt og forst\u00e5 deres usunde strategier for at kunne \u00e6ndre deres vaner. De skal udvikle en evne til at tage ansvar for deres handlinger og l\u00e6re at passe p\u00e5 sig selv p\u00e5 en sund og livskraftig m\u00e5de.
